Alumnae & Visitors

The primary mission of McCain Library is to support the information and research needs of current 91快活林 students, faculty and staff.

We also serve graduates of the college, family of faculty and staff; ARCHE interlibrary use patrons; and special guests of the college. Library privileges extended to alumnae, visitors and other "guest users" from the general public are intended to supplement the resources available through the guest's own school or public library, or employer.

Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please sign in and out the Visitor Log at the front desk. Visitors are limited to the following usage hours during the academic year (August - May). For the two weeks around exam times, visitor access will be prohibited, in order to prioritize our students.

  • Monday - Thursday 10 AM - 7 PM
  • Friday 10 AM - 6 PM
  • Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM
  • Sunday 4 PM - 7 PM

Note: An individual visitor's library access may be terminated at the discretion of any library staff for violation of policies, disruptive behavior or any activity deemed detrimental to McCain Library or our primary campus community users.

Librarians are available on weekdays to assist with locating and retrieving resources. To ensure a librarian is able to assist with your research needs, please call 404.471.6096 or email library@agnesscott.edu.

Archives researchers should request an appointment prior to visiting at archives@agnesscott.edu.

Anyone interested in taking photographs inside McCain Library:

With our beautiful historic architecture, the campus is a favorite for both personal and professional photo shoots. Please get in touch with the Office of Special Events (rtjames@agnesscott.edu, 404-471-6043) for prior approval to take photographs in McCain Library for personal or professional use. The college charges a fee of $200 for all professional shoots, including engagements, weddings, graduations, family portraits, and more.
If you are an alumna, you can request to be photographed free of charge on campus through the Office of Special Events. If you are an alumna requesting to photograph other subjects, you must pay the standard photography rates.

To facilitate the onsite use of materials we offer photocopy machines, printers and scanners. Printing incurs a per-page fee, with a limit of 50 pages. Speak to library staff for assistance.
